Roles and Responsibilities in Procurement

Every public procuring entity shall have the ultimate responsibility for all aspects of procurement planning and implementation. The Bureau of Public Procurement exercises its fiduciary and developmental responsibilities with respect to procurement by:

  • Certifying all prior review Federal-wide procurement prior to the award of contracts;

  • Supervising the implementation of established procurement policies;
03.
  • Undertaking procurement research and surveys;
04.
  • Organizing relevant training and development of procurement professionals;
05.
  • Coordinating relevant training programs to build institutional capacity;
06.
  • Introducing, developing, updating, and maintaining related database and technology;
07.
  • Performing procurement audits; monitoring and field inspection of on going projects and

  • Applying administrative sanctions where necessary
